Strings Bar – Prin2Mobile
From Flyer to Interactive Experience.

Overview & Scope
As part of my first Mobile Master’s project, I created a one-page mobile website for Strings Bar, a fictional live music venue. The goal was to link a printed flyer via QR code to a digital experience, focusing on a seamless transition from print to mobile.

The Problem
QR codes are often poorly integrated into print, leaving users unsure of where they lead. If the scanned page doesn’t match the look and feel of the print material, it creates a disconnect that weakens the overall experience.
The Website
The Strings Bar website was developed as a mobile-first one-pager using Elementor in WordPress. It complemented the printed flyer by providing a digital extension with event details and a lively bar atmosphere.

Concept & Guidelines
To shape the experience from the print flyer into the website via QR codes, there are a frew rules to follow. Key rules include clearly indicating where the QR leads, ensuring the landing page design aligns with the flyer, and creating visual continuity. For example, I used the top half of the flyer in the digital header so users immediately recognize they are on the right site, creating a cohesive and engaging brand experience.
Learnings
Working on the Print2Mobile project taught me the importance of planning for both design and functionality. I have made the mistake in the past of generating a QR code that only lasts for a specific amount of days. Through the project I learned how to make durable and clearly labeled QR codes to ensure long-term usability. Beyond technical details, I also saw how crucial it is to create a visual connection between print and digital.
